Q 1. What substance can turbidity sensor measure in water?

Answer: turbidity sensor measures granular floating substances in water environment, such as sediment, clay, metal particles, organic matter, plankton, microorganisms and other suspended substances; It is not suitable for measuring such as ink, the water quality caused by color pigment pollutes the environment; Some users use a few drops of ink to mix pure water to measure the method is wrong.

Q 2. What signal does this sensor output?

Answer: the sensor control panel supports simultaneous output of analog and digital signals:

(1)AOUT port outputs analog signal with voltage between 0 and 4.5V; Analog can be programmed and controlled by the corresponding voltage signal after being collected by single chip computer AD, you can also use the analog input pin of the Arduino controller to read corresponding data for control.

(2)DOUT port outputs digital high and low level signals, with a high level of 1 (about 4.5V) and a low level of 0 (about 0.28V); digital quantity can be directly controlled by collecting two signal states of high and low levels through single chip microcomputer pins; Meanwhile, digital quantity can also be separated from single chip microcomputer programming, and a 5V relay module can be directly connected to control external equipment; the trigger sensitivity of digital signals can set the threshold value of turbidity through the on-board adjustable resistor; The sensitivity of counterclockwise adjustment becomes higher, and the sensitivity of clockwise adjustment becomes lower.

Q 3. How does the analog signal voltage output by the sensor change?

Answer: measured in indoor natural light environment, the analog signal voltage output by the sensor in clear water is about 3.9V. When the turbidity of water increases, the output voltage changes from high to low, the lowest value is close to 0V.

Q 4. Why is the output voltage of the analog signal of the sensor lower when it is not exposed to water, but higher in clear water?

Answer: This is determined by the hardware characteristics of the sensor. Photoelectric infrared radiation sensor is adopted, which is affected by ambient light in Nature environment; while in clear water, the output voltage becomes higher, because water increases the refraction of infrared light, but helps the transmission of infrared light; So when we set the value, the value should be obtained in clear water and turbid water, rather than in the Nature environment when the probe is not exposed to water.

Q 5. What is the working voltage of the sensor?

Answer: The working voltage of the sensor control panel is 5V, and the maximum can not exceed 6v. Otherwise, the module and sensor probe will be burnt out.
